Superbooth 25: UDO - Super 8 Plus and Ribbon Controller

We spoke to George from UDO about their latest updates and instruments at Superbooth 2025 in Berlin. George introduced us to the Super 8 Plus, which is now boosted to to 20 voices through a voice card upgrade. George emphasized the ease of upgrading the voice card, comparing it to installing RAM in a computer. The voice card is already available for pre-order.
This upgrade promises to align the Super 8 Plus with the Super Gemini in terms of technical specifications but remains compact and manageable, akin to the Super 6. George pointed out the inclusion of a ribbon controller input, expanding the expressive capabilities of the instrument.

George then demonstrated UDO's new Ribbon Controller, designed to be used with both UDO synths and eurorack. The unit offers various modes, including a looper, and facilitates non-quantized expressive control.
