Superbooth 2025: Dreadbox - Artemis

We had a chat with Orpheus from Dreadbox about their Artemis Synthesizer at Superbooth 2025. Orpheus detailed the final firmware version 1.0, noting that production had begun and units were shipping. Key additions included a sequencer and an arpeggiator, both of which were new since their Boolean Friends show. The synth features a stereo spread with its six voices, allowing for rich sonic modulation, utilizing polyphonic LFOs per voice. The Filter FM feature provides modulation options beyond traditional waveforms, offering unique sound shaping.

The sequencer was shown to support live recording and editing, with capabilities for up to 64 steps and six notes per step, including ties and rests. Artemis incorporates a modulation matrix compatible with MPE standards, allowing you to assign CC74 to multiple parameters simultaneously. Orpheus confirmed the retail price at €1,299, with availability at local dealers.
