At Superbooth 2025, we had a chat with Manuel from Oxi Instruments, who gave us a look at the Oxi One Mk2. This updated version brings notable enhancements, particularly the addition of more tracks, which necessitated new hardware. The unit maintains the familiar layout but has expanded slightly to accommodate an additional column of sequencer buttons. A performance layout allows for real-time interaction with all tracks, enabling features like track muting and transposition. The Mk2 also introduces eight modulation lanes per track and a generator button for creating patterns by randomizing pulses and beats. The hardware changes include an improved screen, SD card storage for unlimited projects, and enhanced CV and clock inputs. With full backlighting on all buttons, even in studio settings, this device aims to enhance both creative flexibility and workflow efficiency. Available for pre-order at 899 euros or dollars, with shipping anticipated soon.
