Superbooth 25: Kaona - Sisyphus Filter Module

US Granular multi filter module      08/05/25

We had a chat with Gilles from Kaona, who gave us a look at their latest module, the Sisyphus, at Superbooth 2025. Giles explained that the Sisyphus was designed with ambient music in mind, but it could be used for other genres as well. The module features a unique filter setup with eight types including low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch, peak, comb, Karplus-Strong, and ladder filters. What sets this module apart is its granular capabilities where a granular machine is embedded into each filter, allowing for intricate modulation of the filter using grains. You have the ability to control patterns and mix these grains to achieve a variety of textures and sounds.

Additionally, Kaona has plans for a future expander that will provide more CV inputs, broadening its utility. Also mentioned was the Voltator module, aimed at controlling voltage with four tracks for precise control and transposition.
