Jay (ConstantLittleGhost): Cornwall Electronic Open Mic Nights

Electronic Open Mic Nights (known in Cornwall as EOMN - a local quirk! ) now run monthly at The Cornish Bank in Falmouth, Cornwall. There's a friendly welcome for acts playing all styles, and the nights have become a focal point for a few electronic music collectives which have started to develop in the area, as well as giving Falmouth University's local music students demonstrating their live prowess.

Dates for the upcoming events are on the Facebook page. The next few months' shows are starting to get booked up, but contact the team if you're in Cornwall and interested in playing.

Gerry - Loris Overlay & Software for Eaganmatrix

Eaganmatrix is becoming more and more interesting with new overlays to simplify the sound design process. I am particularly interested in what Christophe Duquesne has written: the Loris Synth app for Mac and Windows. Load a sample, re-synthesize it (additive sine waves), create an Eaganmatrix patch with bank and upload it to the module (Osmose not yet supported).

Local producers are starting free education sessions at The Cornish Bank, Falmouth

According to the organisers:

SoundWaves is a music production community who arrange workshops to support emerging artists on their journey through electronica. 

The sessions are run by local producers who have a passion for writing music and want to create a community around it. They will share their knowledge and support your learning, as well as giving you access to guest speakers who are experts in the industry. Free entry and open to all!
