The Weirdest Casio: CTK-1000

In case anybody missed it over the weekend, I've uploaded a new video on a very unusual Casio keyboard. The CTK-1000 was released in 1993 and features a mysterious IXA Sound Source. 100 on-board presets are semi-editable, with parameters like attack, release and the unpredictable "wave" parameter.

On many presets this simply blends a secondary PCM partial with the main tone. On others, it appears to add Nonlinear waveshaping (like the 01/W had) to obtain sounds that aren't a million miles away from FM synthesis. It really sounds very unique though, and therefore wins my award for the weirdest Casio!
