Incredible Use of Tempo Changes

US Automating time in Jazz Piano piece from 'far'      21/02/25

Automating the tempo of a track is not exactly frowned upon, but in most cases we choose a tempo at the start and stick to it. Here we have a magical use of tempo changes from far, using FL Studio for this Jazz Piano piece to wonderful effect. What's great about it is not only hearing the gorgeous compositional skills, but seeing the tempo changes above happen alongside playback - therein lies a whole lot of expression and feeling, largely missed in tap-tempo DAW music.

When was the tempo automation laid down do you think? During composition, while playing or afterwards.... the mind boggles!
