When you hear the words "Goldeneye music", your brain may think of the iconic soundtrack for the N64 game by Grant Kirkhope, but this in depth exploration from Yannick Zenhausern seeks to uncover the instruments of the film soundtrack, composed by Éric Serra. The film is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year - and you'll find some classic equipment and sample CDs used in the production - including the E-MU Pro/Cussion amongst a wealth of meticulous research.
There are so many great sounds in this video - as well as the names Yannick has created! Here's more info...
Featuring something different this time! In this video Yannick Zenhausern (_DangerConGame_) gives us a look at his extensive knowledge of the original GoldenEye 007 soundtrack, composed by the amazing Eric Serra.
The movie celebrates its 30th anniversary later this year! Yannick has been studying the GoldenEye soundtrack and Eric for over two decades now, and has found most of the tricks the original composer used to pull off one of the most iconic 90's soundtracks... Including, of course, the famous "gong/sonar" sound we all think of when someone mentions the GoldenEye soundtrack for the film or game alike.
Yannick then used all of this to recreate the iconic sounds in his score of GoldenEye 25, which sadly got C&D'd in 2020 - but the music was fully licensed and released on its own. We were able to listen to what it could've been like in action thanks to Krollywood's Far Cry 5 maps which I featured again recently.
Here is Yannick's own score for GoldenEye 25!
