Five Models Of Big Muff Emulated

IVH-Audio tells us that their e::Pi is inspired by a legendary fuzz pedal: Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi. This what they have to say about it in their own words...

The pedal has various versions over time and in different places, which is a well-known fact. e::Pi includes 5 famous models from across history with high-quality analog modeling technology.

Models:

  • Big Apple
  • Raging Bull
  • Square
  • Soviet Green
  • White Army

Features

  • Combine the "Tone" and "Sustain" of different models.
  • Bypass "Tone" and "Sustain" individually.
  • Choose between two circuit conditions: "Vintage" and "Modern."
  • Two mod modes for added flexibility:
    • Mod I: Swaps the processing order of clipping and tone; processes tone first and then clipping.
    • Mod II: Adds tone before clipping and then again after; the clipping is sandwiched between two tone processes.
  • Switch between a high-quality neural network and a lighter neural network.

Modeling technology that perfectly replicates the characteristics of hardware

We achieve a new level of analog modeling by integrating cutting-edge modeling technology with machine learning. Traditional methods, while advanced, require immense processing power to model the entire circuitry of a device, putting a strain on your computer.

Instead of capturing the entire circuit, neural networks learned the behavior of "nonlinear" elements, which are essential for capturing the unique character of each sound. Employing smaller neural networks focused solely on these key elements achieves stunning accuracy with a significantly reduced CPU load.

Limitless customization and endless combinations

e::Pi combines intuitive operation with flexible customization. By adjusting the abundant parameters, you can personalize e::Pi to suit your style.

The five models included in e::Pi can be used independently or freely combined. Endless sound creation is possible depending on the combination.
