JHS Respond To Accusations Of Profiteering

US Josh breaks down the numbers      02/12/24

Its an ongoing theme - "we're being ripped off by these companies", "they should cost less" etc. The fact is that most of us have no idea of how the financials work for any given manufacturer, in this case specifically US based manufacturers who's price may seem higher than say a cheaper Chinese or other large scale factories.

In this video, Josh breaks down some of the assumptions that are made about how much money is made in manufacturing specific pedals.

Even though this is applied to the guitar pedal market, the same principles will no doubt apply in synth manufacture, and Josh from JHS is pretty open about his numbers.

Its an insight into how many small to medium businesses work, covering issues like dealer margin, cost of business etc.
Given the current Black Friday sales splurge, its sometimes worth thinking about what goes on behind the scenes.
