Fort Processor: Experimental Synth

US Weird electronic noises emanating from the River Thames      30/11/24

The Fort Processor popped up on a live stream performance this week, and the experimental synth appears to still be in circulation today - evidenced by the video above! It's an experimental synth and noise effects circuit created by Isn'tses as part of Fort Process sound art festival in East Sussex in 2018. Kits are still available from their online shop as well as from Thonk - or you can buy a finished version from their Bandcamp page.

The Fort Processor is an experimental noise synthesiser and audio effect circuit designed by harsh fun noise duo ISN'TSES (Tim Drage & Lisa McKendrick) for Fort Process sound art festival. The synth is controlled by light, touch pads, 3 knobs, and a trimmer. Audio is created and manipulated by four sections which have been combined using a circuit-bent approach.
