Polyend Synth - First Look - Presentation

Polyend today announces Synth,  a new multi-engine polysynth with three parts. Synth has 60 poly pressure configurable pads and eight unique synth engines, Synth is designed around a smart pad system that allows you to play the three engines together with chords, sequences, arpegiators and scales that can also follow each other to ensure melodic compatibility (or not!)

Eight Synth Engines:

• ACD - Sh-101 influenced synth engine
• FAT - 3 osc va
• PHZ - phase distortion
• VAP - virtual analogue Prophet influenced
• PMD - physical modelling
• GRAIN - granular (with use samples)
• WAVS - wavetable engine
• WTFM - FM synthesis with wavetable oscillators

With a decent-sized display and touch-sensitive macro controls, it's pretty intuitive to edit the sounds and quickly see what the current values are. 

The 60 pads use Polyend's Smart Grid system - which includes three independent sequencers (64 steps) or arpeggiators (3 per scene) that respond to your playing in real time.
By assigning a synth patch to one of three chord modes, single synth pads can trigger chords, from
simple triads to extended chords.

In chord mode, two synth engines can be set to "followers," which adjust their notes according to the
current chord. Scale locks help maintain musicality by keeping everything within a set scale, while
the followers continue to adapt to changes even when using chord packs drawn from multiple
scales. You can perform advanced key modulations with a chord pack, and the followers ensure that
your bass or melody line remains in harmony.
