A few days behind schedule, here's October's roundup:

Warren Harrison

New single from old-school synthpop duo - Adrian's Sister by Studio II

Way back in 1986, David and Warren Harrison started writing and gigging as Studio II. The classic synthpop duo formula of a synth nerd (Warren) and stellar singer (David). We stopped doing that in the early 90s, but restarted everything in 2022 and have released an album and string of singles ever since. Adrian's Sister is the latest, released at the end of Sept, 2024. Amazing what a 30-year hiatus will do!

Lyrics:

There was no beginning, there was no end
Just a perfect middle that rose to occasion

It didn't disappoint, it never left a void
It only gave joy that embraced without persuasion

There is no light without dark
No love without apathy
No ebb without flow
No pain without remedy
She was her remedy

She held her as if she would never let go
Until the day that she let her go
She didn't feel love for her anymore
She had somehow become her recent past

It came to an end, it fell apart
An sudden halt to an affair of the heart
I wish you well but I often hate you
I wish you hell but often I ache for you

There is no light without dark
No love without apathy
No ebb without flow
No pain without remedy
She was her remedy

There is no light without dark
No love without apathy
No ebb without flow
No pain without remedy
She was her remedy

There is no light without dark
No love without apathy
No ebb without flow
No pain without remedy
She was her remedy

Excellent stuff, what a great sounding mix - and quite a few subtle nods to some influential artists. A no-brainer for just $1 - check out the rest of their releases and back catalogue. Gorgeous artwork too!
