Roland has introduced the JUNO-D series, a new lineup of synthesizer keyboards aimed at gigging musicians and aspiring music creators. The range includes three models: JUNO-D6, JUNO-D7, and JUNO-D8, each providing a streamlined design and pro-grade sound, tailored to suit different performance needs.
The Juno-D has been around before in fact 15 years ago we reviewed the Di - which featured the sound engine from the Fantom-G.
With the new Juno-D range, the engine now has the ZEN-Core engine from the current Fantom range, delivering over 3800 sounds, including acoustic and electric pianos, synths, organs, and orchestral instruments. For extra flexibility, you can import WAV samples and inevitably Roland are linking their ever expanding Roland Cloud offer with extra Sound Packs and Wave Expansions available via membership or Lifetime Key purchases.

So essentially, the Juno-D is aiming at the same market as the original Juno (G, D, Di) - which is access to the latest synth engine but more of a portable or bring to a gig "bread and butter" sounds.
The JUNO-D6 has a 61-note synth-action keyboard, the JUNO-D7 76 keys and the JUNO-D8 has 88 weighted-action keys with hammer action.
Models can be powered by AC or a USB-C mobile battery, there's eight-track sequencer and phrase pads for real-time arrangement and song creation, while an integrated mic input with effects like auto pitch and vocoder support vocal performances.
Connectivity options include balanced stereo audio outputs and a USB-C interface for seamless integration with mobile devices and computers. This allows users to create, record, and perform with their preferred music production software, and even use the keyboards for livestreaming with direct audio.
The Roland JUNO-D series is available now, with the JUNO-D6 priced at $899.99, the JUNO-D7 at $1,149.99, and the JUNO-D8 at $1,299.99.
