Roland Launches New Stage Piano Models

Roland tells us that their historic RD family of stage pianos for professional performers is getting two new members. They say that the RD-2000, originally introduced in 2017, and the RD-88, launched in 2020, are both being built upon with the introduction of the new RD-2000 EX and RD-88 EX.

A spokesperson told us, "These powerful instruments offer players expanded creative capabilities with new world-class piano sounds. Meanwhile, owners of the RD-2000 and RD-88 can expand their instruments with EX sounds through upgrade packages available for purchase on Roland Cloud."

The RD-2000 EX comes with two pre-installed V-Piano Expansion titles:
German Concert V-Piano Expansion 01, inspired by famous concert-class grand pianos and featuring 17 ready-to-play Tones
Essential Upright V-Piano Expansion 02, newly developed with the distinctive character and unique spatial quality of a high-end upright piano and featuring a range of 14 preset Tones
 
The RD-88 EX comes installed with the newly developed SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 Expansion, adding a premium concert piano option that complements the SuperNATURAL acoustic and electric pianos already included. The expansion offers 15 distinctive Tones and 20 Scenes.
 
Both of these new models offer the latest in Roland innovation as well as the brand's iconic sound, making them must-haves for every performer.
