ALT - A Pin Matrix Analog Synthesizer

US Soundscape synthesizer is coming to Kickstarter later this month      02/05/24

French company Cyma Forma has announced ALT, which they describe as an analog soundscape synthesizer with a pin matrix. Spokesperson, Vincent, told us, "We've been working on this synth for over 2 years, here in Paris, France. We're very excited to finally show it to the world."

Here's more details direct from the company...

ALT is an analog synthesizer designed to expand the realms of sound design, through intricate motion. It has a rich, sometimes unpredictable sound, that you can control using sliders and a pin matrix.

ALT has eyes and ears: two light sensors and a built-in microphone that allow for spontaneous sound modulation based on the lighting and acoustics of the room.

ALT hosts five voices, each with different waveform shaping possibilities, each offering stereo panning, enabling a rich, spatial audio experience.

A harmonic quantizer lets you chose scales, and play beautiful melodies, either with the sliders, or with quantized pitch modulation.

Sculpt your sound with a stereo filter inspired by the Korg MS-20. it features an intense resonance and a smooth transition between low pass and high pass. (we plan on adding another filter in series on the next version of ALT).

Give space to your sound with a wild stereo delay with infinite feedback.

Initiate sound motion with a modulation pin matrix. The matrix has 4 adjustable modulation sources: 2 LFO, 1 random step generator, 1 envelope follower; and 17 destinations.

Light and sound sensors make it react and evolve with environmental stimuli, all of which allow for complex rhythmic patterns, unheard harmonies, and precise sound design.
