Iconic Instruments has announced its first VST/AU plugin, as well as its first effect. They say that SP140 Plate Reverb takes on five different models of German plate reverb, and combines authentic reverb character with some modern functionality.
A spokesperson told us, "A Density control reins in the 'richness' of the plate's character, giving the option to fit it into a mix in a different way from simply filtering and leveling. A Drive control is placed pre or post reverb, with filtering on board. Width can be controlled for the reverb input and output, with a fully collapsed width behaving true to a real mono plate. The reverb output can also be panned."
