Be Good Audio has released a major update (v1.1.0) to their audio effect plugin, Time Razor. They say that what they describe as a creative and versatile dual delay tool, is powered up with additional effects and a modulation engine, and has undergone major enhancements. Here's the details in their own words...
The update adds:
- Support for Mac. Both Windows 10+ 64 bit and Mac 10.13+ Intel/Silicon CPU are now supported. Plugin formats available are VST3 (win/mac) and Audio Unit (mac).
- Time Razor can now receive MIDI input (note on/off)*. It introduces two new MIDI-triggered envelopes (ADSR) that can be used to modulate 32 targets. LFO's can also be re-triggered by MIDI input.
- 60 new presets (total presets now reach 200), including presets that utilize MIDI input.
- 2 new magic dice features that will speed up the process of creating your own unique presets. The first dice adds random time, time mode, level balance between dual delays and serial/parallel dual delay mode. Use the first dice to quickly find an interesting starting point to work from. The second dice loads values from a random pre-existing preset. Use the first dice to modify dual time settings further.
*Note that retrigger LFO and use of MIDI triggered envelopes require DAW to support sending MIDI to FX).
One of the interesting things about Time Razor is that you can control how the two delay lines mix together, apply seperate filter and ducking, and that each delay line has its own controllable repitch and fade mode. And together with this update Time Razor becomes a valuable
addition to the tools creating music and sound design, as it provides a faster workflow and enhances creativity creating amazing sounds.
