15 Levels of Turntablism

US Beat juggling, crabs, transforms, and more!      14/07/22

Turntablism is one of the most impressive forms of musical performance in my opinion; requiring incredible dexterity, hand-eye coordination and the ability to make the music flow seamlessly! It's often a bit of a dark art, so it's great to see how the complexity of techniques operated within the realm of turntblism increases here. Wired and DJ Shortkut show us how it's done!

He starts off with the very basics of scratching all the way to complicated techniques like beat juggling, which are incredibly satisfying to try if you have two duplicate records. The DMC championship is the most famous scratching competition, and as we reported earlier this year - some people have even entered with Reel To Reel machines
