Superbooth 22: New Modules From WORNG Electronics

WORNG Electronics has announced two new modules. They say that the first is an extremely limited edition SB22 DPLPG, a free dual passive low pass gate available only as a DIY PCB and panel at Superbooth booth Z150. Here's their press release with full details of both...

WORNG Electronics has designed free blank panels for each Superbooth since 2017. Now that it's become a fairly common thing to do we've stepped up our free swag game with a newly designed dual passive LPG, which includes some clever normalling to allow both LPGs to be driven by the same input and CV, allowing processing of stereo signals or creating a faux stereo image using the natural variation of the vactrols used. Simply solder on jack sockets and vactrols and your SB22 DPLPG is ready to go. Supplies are very limited so make sure you get in early to avoid missing out.

Also available to demo will be the new MidSide+ module, a development of our LRMSMSLR module, which introduced the Eurorack world to the power of Mid/Side processing.

MidSide+ includes a powerful voltage controlled through-zero stereo width control circuit on the MS to LR decoder stage, allowing you to precisely manipulate the stereo image created with the Mid and Side processing loops. Instead of stopping at mono, MidSide+ allows you to pass through the zero point of stereo width and continue by reversing the image so left becomes right and vice versa, all the way to superwide stereo in both directions, a sound designer's dream. A specially designed HPF allows the removal of low frequencies from the Side signal post-processing to ensure even extreme processing doesn't disrupt low end phase coherence unless you want it to.

MidSide+ allows complex generation of stereo signals as well as more conventional Mid/Side processing of your stereo mix. If you're looking for a powerful tool to create wide stereo waveforms to feed your stereo filters then MidSide+ is for you, and it handles subtle mix enhancement too. Like all WORNG Electronics modules, MidSide+ is designed with ergonomics and playability in mind, and features generous spacing around the controls so it never feels cramped or hard to use.

Pricing and Availability:
MidSide+ is currently in production and will be shipping in Q3 2022. MidSide+ will retail at a suggested price of USD$229.
