Sample Library Explores Piano Abuse

Soundiron tells us that Struck Grand delves deep into the fine art of piano abuse. This 9+ GB prepared piano library explores the unusual with a deeply sampled 1926 Steinway Model L parlor grand piano. The company says that the Struck, Harmonic, Mallet and Gliss elements are perfect for dramatic and suspenseful scoring, while the Steel Hammer, Slide and Picked sections offer a nuanced classical feel.

A spokesperson told us, "For this Struck Grand 2.0 upgrade, we remastered the samples and inserted them into our flexible modular template that gives you even more powerful sound-shaping controls. After that, we sound-designed these acoustic tones into ambient organic soundscapes and created 20 custom FX presets that go far beyond any other piano effect library you've heard before."
