PolyBrute Gets Soundshaper Firmware V2.0 Big New Update

Parameter display, new FX, EQ, Chord Mode and more      09/12/21

Arturia's PolyBrute has no doubt made its way on to many a wishlist, we reviewed it last year and fell in love with it a little bit - the power of the voices when combined with dual filters, good effects and the PolyBrute super-power of being able to morph between two distinct patches within each patch - controlled by amongst other things the Morphee X/Y/Z controller.

Today Arturia have updated the firmware to V2 which adds a number of new features:

  • New Effects: Add an additional final EQ stage with 7 shapes to choose from, plus a vintage-style Ensemble effect for massive stereo width.
  • Synth Accuracy: You can now adjust the accuracy of controls like OSC pulse width, filter settings, unquantized LFO rate and more for a humanized feel.
  • Chord Mode -  stored per preset
  • Duophonic Aftertouch - gives the feel of poly AT
  • LFO 3 Curve Enhancements: Set PolyBrute's third LFO curve to respond differently for further modulation control within your patch - rise or fall, exponential or logarithmic
    Real-time Display Feedback
  • Expanded preset library: Explore 64 additional factory presets designed by world-class sound designers, expanding PolyBrute's sonic vocabulary.

PolyBrute V2 is available now and requires the PolyBrute Connect app - available from Arturia.com
