The NAMM Organization yesterday announced the cancellation of the physical NAMM planned for January show in 2021 - it was going to be our 21st show and as ever, a major calendar event.
NAMM has been a topic of speculation for a number of weeks now, about wether it would go ahead. Several brands we've been speaking to saying they would not be attending due to COVID 19.
We (wrongly) assumed that NAMM would hold out till the last minute, so this timely declaration is to be commended, and will give us all time to consider what we'll be doing in its place.
The official NAMM word is that January 18th 2021 will be Believe in Music Week:
Believe in Music, to be held over the week of January 18, 2021, will feature a mix of comprehensive programming and professional education at BelieveinMusic.tv, as well as an interactive marketplace to connect buyers and sellers – all designed to elevate the innovation and inspiration found across the industry while offering support for those most deeply affected by COVID.
More details and programming schedules will be forthcoming and we will of course, be thinking of our own approach - we already were part of one virtual trade show - Superbooth Home Edition, which turned out pretty well, so we are sure that there will be plenty of news and content around those dates.
And while we will all miss our annual pilgrimage to SoCal seeing all our friends in person, we will still be there virtually, happy to discuss how we can help anyone who wants to be part of that. Just get in touch via our contact form.
