Electric Telepathy has released the Fluoresynth synthesizer for Mac and Windows. They tell us that it uses the harmonic series to create pitched musical tones.

A spokesperson told us, "Fluoresynth's harmonic series consists of a fundamental tone and 12 overtones. The relationship between the fundamental and its overtones determines the sound's brightness and warmth. Musicians want to spend their time making music, not learning how to use a particular synth. Fluoresynth allows you to play with a rich soundscape without needing a complicated interface. You'll immediately start making music instead of figuring out controls. Place your mouse over the sliders to see how each one changes Fluoresynth's sound."

You can play the synth online from your computer keyboard.

Features:

  • Crystal clear sound quality produced by mathematically precise harmonics
  • Easy to understand – controls labeled with musical terms, not technical language
  • Built-in oscilloscope shows you the sound wave in real time
  • Full polyphony – you can play multiple notes at once
  • Velocity sensitive – harder struck notes sound louder and brighter
  • Synchronize Fluoresynth to your song's tempo
  • Future updates to Fluoresynth are free after initial purchase
  • Runs on Windows 7, 8, 10 and Mac OSX 10.5 through 10.12+
