Developers of a new digital instrument, the Mune, have been in touch. They tell us that the design of their instrument is unique in the MIDI controller world and allows electronic musicians to perform in a way which frees them from the confines of their laptop setup. A spokesperson told us, "Having electronic musicians perform in a new way is our mission and we believe the design lends itself well to that goal. We are launching a crowdfunding campaign for Mune through Kickstarter on August 1. Funds from our Kickstarter will be used to expand our production capacity in preparation for an international release."

The Mune is a wireless digital instrument designed to make your interactions with sound expressive and visible to an audience while performing. It was designed to be equally proficient at traditional performance and digital production by being able to play melodies, shape sound, program loops, control effects and mix tracks.
