Auxy Music-Making App Released For iPhone

The new Auxy is based on the concept that its developers introduced on iPad a year ago, but they tell us that it's been completely redesigned for iPhone and rebuilt from scratch to take the experience and sound quality to a new level.

A spokesperson told us, "Even though Auxy for iPad is currently the highest rated music app on iOS (5.0 stars), Auxy for iPhone is an order of magnitude better. The combination of portability, simplistic interface, and state-of-the-art sound engine takes mobile music creation to the next level. A significant step in bringing real music making into the mobile era."

WHAT IT DOES
Auxy lets you program drum beats and synth melodies by drawing notes on a grid. For each of the 4 channels, you can choose between a variety of high quality sounds and tweak effects in real time to get the right vibe. When you have created a set of loops that you like, you can record your performance. Tracks can be uploaded and shared directly with friends and followers. If you're using other music apps, you can export your creations as high quality audio files or MIDI. This also makes Auxy a great sketch pad or collaboration tool for producers on all levels.

UNDER THE HOOD
Behind the minimalist interface runs a powerful sound engine with state-of-the-art effects by Sonic Charge and FXpansion--two of the leaders in digital audio effects. The sounds are designed by producer 7 Skies and routed through a series of carefully tuned master effects to make sure that music mix sounds great.

3D TOUCH SUPPORT
If you have an iPhone that supports 3D Touch, you can jump straight into editing by pressing loops, or start a new project by pressing the app icon.
