All the traditional kurzweil strengths are on show with this keyboard. Excellent key action and subtle responsiveness from the sound engine, very clean, transparent and lively basic samples and tone. The PC3 is here now so these will become even stronger value soon.

I Have the Kurzweil PC2 76 note keyboard and it is excellent. Very Reliable and does all I could ask of it. It has the famous Kurzweil Strings and the Piano is not my all time favorite but it does a more than adequate job for me. The Organs are very good. I wish it had programmable outputs because I play keyboard bass and split the bottom 2 octaves for bass and I like to keep the bass sounds separated from the keyboard sounds I have on the right. I use a Roland bass module on the lower two octaves and is a bit of a hassle. Over all it is very good and dependable and I'm not disappointed that I bought it.

This keyboard has excellent piano sounds. I bought it for a good piano with weighted keys, plus it has the KB3 mode, which turns the keyboard into a pretty good b3 replica. It is not as good as a Hammond Xb3 or whatever it is called, but it is better than most b3 replicas. Again, the piano sounds are better than any other keyboard I've heard. I have found it difficult to use in the studio, however. This unit seems to be more for performance use, not for using with an external sequencer. Overall, a very good sounding unit.

I just finished my first gig with the Pc2. The sounds in this keyboard are very awesome. I use alot of horn patches in my band so I need good quality samples.I layered a trumpet, tenor sax and a brass patch, did some volume and effects editing and now Ive got an excellent horn section. The one thing that U will notice is how fat the samples are. Starting with the pianos and ending with the synth pads, their just sooooo fat. One thing...sob sob... The oversized power supply. Why did you do it that way Kurzweil? I place mine in front of my sustain to keep the pedal from moving. If the power supply is going to be a part of my rig, it mite as well serve another purpose. A SUSTAIN PEDAL STOPPER. Other than that, this puppy rocks. I cant wait until Kurzweil releases another rom block of 128 more pristene samples. Does anybody know when the new rom block is coming out? I have to give my pc2 a 4 because of the door stop power unit. A word of advice... Buy yourself a small fan and aim it at the power unit. Mine seems to heat up more than my jv1010's. All this care is worth it. Ive never had a better sounding keyboard.

Well this is a nice keyboard eventho its a bit on the heavy side , Youl get a work out trying to haul this thing around the module would be you very best option . For the controller features it shines i think alica keys hired her own moving men to shuttle this thing , the feel is good but the price was very high for this type of board and some stores stop stocking them because there were slow in sales when you had the K2600 in your face kurtzweil finally got the message and came out with a pc1x which is geared toward a more afforable consumer on a modest budget but all in all is a great performer the market is flooded with new gear and we should see a breakdown in price here soon as the wholesale market kicks in which will drive the price down but this is a sweet addition to any studio our stage set up with some good meat and patato patches !!!
