A great machine, can't understand why someone would get upset by the prospect of people enjoying its unique qualities (you sure don't need an OB-1 to make great music). Original model has CV inputs for controlling VCA & VCF, so a Kenton PRO2000 can be used to control these functions via midi (and the Kenton LFO can also modulate them while the internal LFO does other things). Great cross-mod/sync options and the unusual ability to modulate the VCO waveforms. For an informative webpage see http://www.bluesynths.com/1Testberichte-e/Oberheim-OB1.htm

I picked up my ob-1 for nothing. It did not work but I had it repaired and now it is THE premier synth in my line-up. I think it has a unique sound. Great sample and hold. I think the fetures are great. Love the knobs. I would say that this is a Real Mans Synth. If you happen to own one too, then you are automaticly cool in my book.
