UAFX Pedal Update

MIDI connectivity added alongside improved Bluetooth and expanded onboard presets   13-Nov-25

Universal Audio Inc. (UA) has announced UAFX 2.0, a free software update to their UAFX amp emulator and dual-footswitch effects pedals. Rodrigo Ibieta, Director of Product for Universal Audio, told us, "With UAFX 2.0, we're delivering the biggest update to our pedals yet. We've listened to our users. By adding MIDI over USB, expanded presets, and smoother app connectivity, we're giving them more creative freedom to shape their tone, whether they're on stage, in the studio, or at home."

Built on UA's proven analog modeling expertise, UAFX pedals are known for giving guitarists the authentic sound of classic amps and studio effects. With the UAFX 2.0 update, players now have deeper control, expanded flexibility, and more seamless integration with their rigs.

UAFX 2.0 update includes:

• USB MIDI Connectivity: Use UAFX pedals in any MIDI rig with realtime control, editing, and preset switching*
• Expanded Presets and Footswitch Modes for UAFX Amp Emulators: Access four user presets, and switch between custom amp tones instantly
• Improved UAFX App Connection: Enjoy rock-solid Bluetooth or hardwired USB-to-Mobile cable connections with the UAFX Control app

 

UAFX 2.0 is available to customers worldwide starting November 11th, 2025. Current UAFX dual-footswitch pedal owners can upgrade to UAFX 2.0 for free. MIDI CC parameter control features released under open beta.
