The Elka Synthex has had a pretty hard time recently. After the crowdfunding campaign to bring back the vintage synth back to market failed, the 8 voice analogue poly is now destined to be the muse of the lucky few who own one of the original units.

The heat in a room full of synthesizers can be quite suffocating at times, especially when said room is also filled with multiple bodies all sweating out last nights alcohol intake...

This must have been too much for the Synthex last year as it promptly gave up the ghost at Studio Stekker 2014. So after a year in the repair shop the machine returned to the studio to be reunited with its owner.

In this video Sonar Traffic's Ben Spaander spills his love for the instrument and shows us the unique aspects of the sequencer on the Synthex.
