My AX1 is a fantastic bit of kit but the case is too fragile for the hammering it gets on stage and on the road, I've replaced the whole shell twice. The pitch bend strip died on me once and I've just managed to break the frame beneath the keys so now I'm waiting for Roland to ship me a new part and then it'll have to be forwarded to me (they won't ship to Dubai) still playing it live with a C# missing incredibly irritating!

I'm planning to rebuild the AX1 with modifications when I get time and upgrade to a Lag Le Key when I can afford it and find one.

My new toy!

Considering there are only so many electrical plugs in a house, this battery-powered beauty is essential. I got a black one, with a "flame" patterened guitar strap and it looks totally evil! I use it with my MC-307, and use it well!

I received my AX1 as a gift. I play with the group Enchantment and I took it to rehearsal yesterday for the first time as I was tired of hauling my usual keyboard around. I like the AX1's lightness and ease of use. I go through several patch changes and setups and she handled them all effortlessly. I run a Yamaha MU15 as the tone module and it sounded great already, but the Splits, layers and effects features on the AX1 brought my horn and string parts new life.
