Fun synth, some limits and monophonic. Nice keyboard action, nice chipboard case and horrible trailing mains lead which I've had changed to take a kettle type lead. The sounds can be a bit thin and the presets rarely sound like their names but with some twiddling and sliding you can make some interesting sounds with this synth. You can get overlay cards to note your settings should you find a particularly good one. My personal choice is to sample the good sounds to play via a different keyboard. As an aside, if you take the top of the case off you can clean the keys. There is also plenty of room for the power lead mod which should only be done by someone who is trained to do that kind of work.

nice old monologue synth very full of character no cv or midi, sounds are presets you use what you get ,but by using the octave changer increases the range to high leads down to reasonable deep basses and variations by the traveller and portomento gives movement over the 15-20 actual sounds more when you press 2 voices at the same time i got all to lock on once that was differant .most sounds are usefull and not cheap sounding..good with a bit of reverb ,,only prob i found anoying sometimes tuner dosnt just get to pitch to tune just slightly under not all the time though..overall i like the synth works well with the roland juno and the gem s2 amonsts other synths modules i have had in the past, if it broke i would probably try to replace

it´s a fun little instrument, makes you PLAY music, since ther´s not too much to change about the basic sounds. but there is a certain unbeatable charm about these old machines. very liquid, run it through effects, and you have sweet blippy lines. it´s true, somehow the essence of synth sounds a la mid-70´s. mine is the rare SP model (for SPeaker), so you can mike it and have extra fun with different microphones (much like the EDP wasp). these machines make you work and inspire way more than some current VA where you waste endless hours flipping through presets and get lost in menu page after page...

had one of these,A real boring and lame sounding synth maybe one sound out of the bunch is good mixing sounds is a strong point of this plastic coated synth, damm for a 1977 synth you would think they would of used Real wood like other korg products of the time.
