Seen first at the Summer NAMM, microKORG shares the same voice architecture as the MS2000. It does have considerably fewer knobs but none the less allows a great deal of control through parameter access.
It's got a cool little condenser mic to run the vocoder - although you can route external lines in as the modulator. One cool function is the formant freeze- hit this while vocoding and you have the formant sound applied, frozen - so if you were making an "eee" sound at the time your frozen formant would have that characteristic.
Granted, it is small,as are the keys, but it is still highly usable - and can in fact be battery powered for those beautiful, laptop-in the-park moments.
It's not really anthything new but it's nicely packaged and pretty good value...
