Walrus Audio Intros Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay

Stompbox features three distinct delay modes   11-Sep-26

Walrus Audio has expanded the Fundamental Series with the new Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay -- following the success of models such as the Fundamental Ambient. This is what they have to say about it...

Staying true to the philosophy behind the Fundamental Series, the Lo-Fi combines three intuitive fader controls with three distinct modes, delivering professional tonal quality while keeping things simple and approachable.

Inspired by the imperfect textures of old tape delays and the multi-tap sounds of the 1980s, the Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay takes familiar echoes into worn, warped and wonderfully unpredictable territory -- from hazy, degraded repeats and dark, modulated ambience to rhythmic multi-tap echoes.

Key features include:

    •    Three distinct delay modes: AM, Murk and Echo
    •    AM – bright, degrading repeats with high-pass filtering, harmonic distortion and wow-and-flutter modulation
    •    Murk – dark, saturated repeats with low-frequency modulation for dense, undulating textures
    •    Echo – rhythmic, analog-inspired multi-tap delay for ambient washes and cascading echoes
    •    Three intuitive faders controlling Time, Feedback and Mix
    •    Up to one second of delay time
    •    Tap tempo with quarter-note, dotted-eighth and eighth-note divisions

With its streamlined controls and character-filled delay algorithms, the Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay makes it easy to explore everything from subtle movement and hazy ambience to pulsing clouds and hypnotic rhythmic patterns.
