Compare, Comment, Collab On Mixes In Talkback.se

In browser - realtime switching a/b/c   29-Jul-26

talkback has launched a browser-based mix review and approval tool aimed at producers, mixers and labels who need to trade revisions without a shared DAW session. It focuses on timestamped notes, sample-accurate A/B/C comparison, and album-wide projects, with private links that reviewers open without creating an account.

It is not a public feedback marketplace: only the people you invite can hear the audio, and the maker says there is no AI anywhere in the workflow.

• A/B/C compare: Flip between versions on one sample-accurate engine at the same playhead position. No gaps, no reloads.
• Timestamped comments: Click the waveform to leave a note at the exact moment, with threads, reactions, and approve/reject.
• Overdub takes: Record a vocal note or sing a line straight over the mix, synced to the song.
• Share links: Password-protected browser links for clients and bandmates. Reviewers never need an account; only you pay.
• Lossless on approval: Stream a lightweight preview during review, then download the full-quality master once approved.
• Meters and view: LUFS loudness and a per-version spectrogram to ground comments in what is happening in the file.
• Album mode: Drop a folder to review a whole record. Each track gets its own player, continuous play, per-song comments, and whole-release approval. Optional stripped play-through mode for simple listening.

For anyone juggling client notes by email or messenger, this centralises versioning and comments, and the sample-accurate A/B/C makes it easy to judge changes without level or timing shifts. Album mode should help when signing off EPs and LPs, where track-to-track flow matters as much as individual mixes.

Price: Indie €7/month (100 GB, 5 active projects); Studio €15/month (250 GB, 25 active projects, album mode, custom branding, link expiry); Label €39/month (1 TB, unlimited projects, album mode, tracked and personalized downloads with inaudible forensic watermarking). 14-day free trial.

Note: 30% Discount for Sonicstate Patreon and YouTube Members through October 2026
