Electro-Harmonix says that bass players have had a long love affair with the EHX Big Muff, spawning now four versions of specifically designed with bassists in mind. They tell us that they have now upgraded the recently released dual op-amp Bass Big Muff 2 with pro features with the release of the Deluxe Bass Big Muff 2. This is what they have to say about it...
The Deluxe Bass Big Muff 2 is voiced with gutsy, mid-focused tone while preserving the classic Big Muff sustain. The VOL/TONE/SUSTAIN knobs control the overall output, EQ, and gain level of the pedal respectively. Bass-centric upgrades include a BLEND knob, footswitchable CROSSOVER, and expanded I/O. BLEND dials in the wet/dry blend for a balanced fuzz tone with a clean and clear fundamental. The footswitchable CROSSOVER features a high-pass filter on the signal feeding the fuzz circuit while a low-pass filter is applies to the clean signal. This allows for extreme tone sculpting with massive low-end and cutting high-end. A selectable input pad attenuates the input signal by 10dB for use with high output pickups. In addition to a standard output, an XLR DI OUTPUT is included for doing direct while the DIRECT OUT delivers a buffered version of your clean input signal.
The Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi 2 features a true bypass footswitch with Latching/Momentary Action. Click the footswitch for normal latching functionality or press and hold the footswitch of a momentary burst of fuzz.
