Driftlab Audio describe themselves as a new boutique plugin company focused on simple, musical, and fast-to-dial-in tools for guitarists and producers.
Developer, Chris, told us, "Driftlab was born out of necessity - as an Ableton user working mostly with stock plugins, I struggled to achieve the DI guitar tone I was hearing in my head. Instead of recording, I found myself endlessly tweaking settings, so I began building my own tools. Over the past two months I've released the first wave of Driftlab plugins, all available as Windows-only VST3. Each plugin is designed as a modular piece that stacks well with other tools, but they also form a cohesive ecosystem when used together. Every paid product includes a full-access 10-day trial with no limitations."
Here's a list of the plug-ins...
Polisher (Free)
A first-in-chain signal conditioner that cleans and standardizes DI tracks before they hit the rest of your chain.
Seaside Clean
A clean amp inspired by classic British preamp/power amp circuits. Works well on its own or as a platform for effects.
Sunset Stack
A high-gain-capable amp covering classic rock through metal, with surprisingly good cleans.
Sunwarp
A distortion pedal in plugin form. From clean boost to extreme saturation, and it stacks extremely well for heavier tones.
Cabs
A cabinet emulator using filter-based cab and mic modeling (no IR files). Choose a cab, choose a mic, dial your tone.
Deep Current
A reverb designed for return tracks, but also works well in-chain for ambient textures.
Dream Circuit
A chorus that works both in-chain and on return tracks for wider, more dimensional tones.
