Halo Release Four New 8-String Guitars

Equipped with self-tuning bridge   29-Jun-11

Guitar manufacturers Halo Custom Guitars, a California-based Guitar company who specialise in custom made 7-string, 8-string and 10-string guitars have released four new 8-string guitars to their product line.

Jeff Lee, GM of Halo Custom Guitars has stated that the four new additions to Halo’s 8-string line was down to an increased popularity in the style. “We built and sold our first 8 string guitar in 2006. Back then, having 8 strings on an electric guitar was rare and considered ‘pushing the envelope’. Now, 8 string guitars are becoming much more common.”

Lee also commented on one of the guitars' special features; “The new Halo 8 string guitar models will feature a ‘Tune-O-Matic’ bridge, a feature not yet seen on any 8 string guitars in the world.”

The Halo 8-string guitars, like all 8-stringers provide a wider range of notes for the guitarist to play, therefore also opening up some interesting tonal possibilities.

Halo’s quality control manager has issued the following release; “We are equipping the new Halo 8 string guitars with the world’s first 8 string ‘Tune-O-Matic’-Style Bridge and Tail Piece System, which we developed and manufactured in-house. These guitars are going to be a big hit as they have many high-performance features.”
