US Fiedler Audio makes their Dolby Atmos Composer Essential available free of charge 22/01/24

Fiedler Audio has announced the immediate availability of Dolby Atmos Composer Essential to all DAW users for free. They tell us that it delivers full Dolby Atmos mixes and masters with any DAW. Fully certified and licensed by Dolby Labs. Industry-standard compatible results. Here's the details in their own words...

Fiedler Audio made quite a splash when in April 2023 the Dolby Atmos Composer hit the Plugin Market. And it was perfect timing indeed, as the needs of musicians planning for their future releases included the demand for delivering their art in the Dolby Atmos format as well.

For the first time, the Dolby Atmos Composer made it possible to already consider the Dolby Atmos mix on "artist-level", as an organic part of the creative workflow. Before Dolby Atmos was a format that only could be handled on "engineer-level" - long after the creative and musical process had been finished.

That more than once led to Atmos mixes that were technically correct but often lacked some relation to the musical and artistic content.

And then, the originally required investment in a Dolby Atmos monitoring environment wasn't met with a warm welcome by the musicians as well. With the Dolby Atmos Composer on the other hand it is possible to start an Atmos mix during the music production at any time and even anywhere. Just with a laptop, any DAW, and a pair of Headphones. Then, when everything is done and finished the final result can be exported as the required Dolby-approved and licensed ADM/BWF file for the streamers. It can also be exported as a pristine binaural file, as discreet multitracks for multi-channel use at events, exhibitions, etc.

And that's why: To even further empower the creative music people Fiedler Audio decided to make the Dolby Atmos Composer Essential free for everyone as the easiest and barrier-free path to try and take the first steps in mixing for Dolby Atmos.
