With the new Rhodes Mk8 on the horizon, the Doctor Mix team has travelled to Leeds UK to see the factory and meet Dan Goldman (aka JD73), the Chief Product Officer at Rhodes Music Group. Dan takes him through the process of designing and building the MK8, looking at sourcing local parts, the operation of the key bed and the enclosure - topped off with a jam in the Rhodes music room.
They discuss the woodwork and metalwork required, the bucket brigade effects (Compressor, Delay, Chorus, Phaser) and the superb design from Axel Hartmann. Doctor Mix is there to look at the model they're making for him, and with a range of customisations on offer, he asks his audience to decide what colour his case should be!
