Via SynthTopia They kicked up a real storm with their gangsta promo and also talked up a real good product, the Beat Thang which was being much hyped at 2009 NAMM show – the super drum-machine/sampler/synth/music production workstation looked cool with custom grillz and the like. For some, the blunt marketing grated somewhat, but there was no denying that these guys had some pretty big plans for this new groovebox. I spoke with the main man AJA Emanuel at NAMM and he seemed very upbeat about the future of the Beat Thang back then. But a quick look at their website BeatKangz.com throws up a GoDaddy holding page. Now this may just mean there's been some kind of DNS error, or a forgotten hosting plan bill payment, but I have to admit, it doesn't look so good, maybe they are a victim of the crunch – perhaps someone knows? Update: via comments SekondThought - I can report all is well with them and that it was indeed either a glitch or payment processing issue - Indeed the site is back up now. Business as usual. The ever vigilant Synthopia.com got this story first (how does he do it?).
