Carillon are a UK based company who specialize in making PCs for music use. Their T.I. (Total Integration) is “the evolutionary step in our mission to make computer-music making as straightforward as using a dedicated piece of hardware - factory produced to give you a completely consistent out-of-the-box expereience with everything you need to make music included as standard. They make sure that the hardware, software and drivers etc are all bullet-proof working together, so that when you pick up one of their systems – it will just work without any additional configuration required. If things do go pear shaped, the system can be restored to it’s original configuration. Carillon also build high-end, custom machines for more specialized use. These come with some pretty hardcore support, where your machine’s particular configuration is held at Carillon Central and a support specialist can come right into your machine via the network and fix it down the wires, should you be unable to talk it better. Currently, Carillon systems are based on Windows XP, Vista is being tested, but is not stable enough for rock steady installations.
