Drumforge Announces The Snare Arsenal

US Drum Vault sample pack features four separate collections of snare drums      31/08/22

Drumforge, developer of drum processing plugins and drum sample packs, has announced The Snare Arsenal, which they describe as a multi-sample TCI / Wav format product featuring four separate collections of snare drums, each collection recorded and mixed in a unique studio, totaling 48 snare drums. They say that all samples in The Snare Arsenal are mixed to competitive, commercial standards, but not over-processed. Raw WAV files are also included. Here's more details in their own words...

Finding the right snare for your mix is simple with the included TCI presets in The Snare Arsenal.  Audition the room, select your snare, and then adjust the faders in Trigger 2 to get the desired blend of attack, tone, and ambiance. If you prefer consistency over dynamics, a one-shot version with a TCI preset for each snare is also bundled in.

Each snare drum was meticulously sampled for realism and each collection was also recorded "Drumforge" style, offering multiple engineering setups designed for maximum tonal flexibility. This helps you achieve the perfect balance of attack, tone, size, and length for your song quickly. These engineer setups are laid out in musical terms like depth, thump, splat, and length so that they translate into a musical workflow as the mixing varies across the different rooms for maximum flexibility.

The Wood Room - A long rectangular room where every surface is made of wood. It's got a large and lively character, yet is still very versatile.  19 snare drums were recorded in this room, including a lot of higher-pitched snares.

The Brick Room - A medium-sized room with brick walls and tall ceilings. With its bright but natural character, it can sound tight and snappy but you have options to achieve more ambiance if needed.  9 snares were recorded in this room.

The Vibe Room - A smaller sized room with low ceilings.  Low-pitched, deep, modern rock and country-inspired snares were mostly recorded in this room because it accentuated the impact of the snare hit. 7 snare drums were recorded in this room.

The Hybrid Room - An asymmetrical medium-sized room with a lot of baffling and high ceilings.  Half of the room is made from concrete while the other half is wood. Lots of vintage gear was used to capture and mix these sounds, including some really boutique old tube preamps.  13 snare drums were recorded in this room.
