I have had my iS-50 for two years now and I am totally satisfied with it's sounds and features. Especially the violin sound is superb. Being an amateur on the area of ranking synths/keyboards I have hard to believe that you can get a better sounding gear for the quite moderate price. The built in speakers are very good for home playing. The arrangement are extremely well programmed but are focused more towards dance restaurant music styles than pop/rock. This suits me fine. As a workstation/sequencer its really sophisticated. Finally, you can fine tune ANY possible parameter on this machine, which is for good and bad, since it's a bit tedious to step back and forth in the menus without a jog-wheel (which may be a feature on the iS-40, the big brother of my iS-50).

I have only recently change to keyboards as I am a sax player but I find the korg is40 very good if you use midi files you can make chanel 8 change your styles and volum for each tune this saves you having to set it up for every tune making it farster on live gigs
