UVI Release Aurora

US Modern-oriented concert grand piano with textures and atmosphere      16/02/24

UVI has released Aurora, which they describe as a modern-oriented piano that reinforces the concert grand's powerful tonal signature with a wide range of curated textures and atmospheres for a completely new, and uniquely expressive experience.

A spokesperson told us, "Rich with emotion and deep with creative possibility, Aurora offers an inspiring, and distinctly modern interpretation of the piano, allowing users to explore the sonic interplay of 3 unique voices, internal modulation, and an all-new semi-modular effects engine. From delicate to brooding and atmospheric, Aurora is a versatile and emotive instrument, rich with detail and ripe for exploration."

Here's more details direct from UVI...

Aurora's piano sound is based on a world-class concert grand recorded at the renowned Guillaume Tell sound stage in Paris. The meticulous multi-sampling and attention to detail in the recording process is matched with sophisticated scripting and DSP, resulting in an incredibly realistic playing experience, accurately relaying the most subtle and nuanced performances. From there a curated selection of textures and atmospheres are threaded together to create rich new sonic tapestries. Explore dozens of unique sounds from categories including Attack, Keys, Machines, Material, Nature, Orchestra, Electronic, World, and more.

Aurora's creative architecture features deep internal modulation, allowing you to quickly and precisely add movement throughout your patch, while an all-new semi-modular effect engine helps you stir the ether to find inspiring new destinations. One-knob macro effects on the main page help you quickly dial in Color, Dynamics, Mute, and Intensity, as you explore an incredible selection of factory presets with unique sonic visions from the sound designers at UVI, and some of today's most innovative piano artists, including: Julia Gjertsen, Ben Crosland, Akira Kosemura, Joe Kirby, Ole-Bjørn Talstad, Arvid Holst, and Dustin O'Halloran. Discover new inspirations, tweak to taste, or craft your own from scratch.

Aurora offers native 64-bit standalone operation by way of Falcon or the free UVI Workstation, providing comprehensive support for all modern DAWs and simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.

Aurora is available immediately with a special introductory price of $79 / 79€, with crossgrade pricing of $39 / 39€ for users of Austrian Grand, now through February 25th, 2024 (regularly $129 / 129€)
