UVI Releases HX-20 Synth

US First in a new instrument series is based on the Korg MS-20      07/12/23

UVI has released HX-20, a new instrument based on what they describe as an iconic semi-modular analog monosynth. They say that HX-20 marks the first release of UVI's new "HX" series, providing a powerful new hybrid architecture combining 3 hardware-based wavetable and sample oscillators with physically-modeled filters to deliver a deeply versatile and creative re-imagining of an esteemed classic. A spokesperson told us, "From vintage bass and leads to charactered sound design, HX-20 offers a rich hardware sound and powerful modern toolset." Here's more details from UVI...

Leveraging UVI's deep history in sampling and physical modeling, HX-20 offers an exciting new way to explore a broader range of the authentic hardware sound that you know and love. Take control of a pair of new sample-based wavetable oscillators, offering greater customization and a finer representation of the hardware's raw sound, then combine them with one of our sample-based oscillators, delivering our lovingly-crafted hardware sound design, to feed a pair of physically-modeled filters for unparalleled analog charm.

HX-20 includes a sizable preset library including Bass, Brass, FX, Keys, Leads, Pads, Pluck, Sequences, Arps and more. Assembled from a library of 13,000+ hardware samples, arranged into 182 layers and wavetables, HX-20 sounds alive with authentic analog soul. A rich, multi-layer architecture with analog-modeled filters, powerful modulation system, creative arpeggiator/phraser, and both macro and studio effects, gives you everything you need to edit existing presets to perfectly match your vision, or create your very own sounds from scratch.

HX-20 offers native 64-bit standalone operation by way of Falcon or the free UVI Workstation, providing comprehensive support for all modern DAWs and simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.

Pricing and Availability:
HX-20 is available immediately with a special introductory price of $49 / 49€ through December 11th, 2023 (regularly $79 | 79€)
