Olympus tells us that their new LS-P4 Linear PCM Recorder captures professional-quality audio for video, music recordings, interviews and a variety of other use cases. They say that the LS-P4's stylish but robust metal body is small enough to fit in any pocket while its technology allows for Hi-Res sound recording wherever you are.

A spokesperson had this to say,

"The new recorder features the acclaimed TRESMIC 3 microphone system for expanded frequency response in stereo sound capturing and better-than-CD Linear PCM 96kHZ/24bit format. New to the LS series and a big advantage in its class is the opportunity to now even record & play FLAC format up to 96kHz/24bit with the LS-P4. This allows users to achieve the same quality as PCM with smaller recording file sizes. Besides a built-in Hi-Res music player, Bluetooth connectivity and in-device sound normalisation, the LS-P4 now features easy fade-in/fade-out as well as overdubbing editing directly via the recorder menu and without the need for a computer."
