Dell have announced plans to release a monster 19� laptop next year, there is precious little information about the specification but one would think that it is likely to be deskbound as fitting a full 19 on you lap might require some sort of harness. However, it’s still going to be more portable than a full desktop rig, so will no doubt be lusted after by many audio professionals – assumung Apple don’t beat them to it. The move toward widescreen lappys is a trend that is set to account for a high percentage of widescreen format machines sold in the next year or two. Indeed, according to sources at DigiTimes, there’s a new 15.4 in iBook in the offing for 2006. Which is nice.
