Sonic Network, Inc has announced the release of Akai, Kurzweil and (NemeSys) Gigasampler versions of its popular sample library. 'After releasing our Drum Series 1 CD-ROM and download products for Kurzweil and Akai users," says Jennifer Hruska, president of Sonic Network, Inc, 'we got absolutely slammed with requests to port the rest of the library over to those formats. Kurzweil users were dying for more of our VAST programming, Gigasampler users were playing our MP3 demos and requesting native Gigasampler versions, while Akai users were choking on their pizza in an effort to call us up.' (Actually, she said '...while there are simply a lot of samplers that can read the native Akai format.') 'So after months in development we finally released all of our Guitar and Bass Implants, the String Boxes CD of Mellotron and Arp Strings Ensemble samples, a big gorgeous collection of Latin Percussion instruments and of course more of our best selling drums.' (Yep, she did say 'big gorgeous'.) The collections have led to the rearrangement of the Sonic Implants website, while development is underway for entirely new sites dedicated to sounds, information, programming tips, drivers, artist relations and so on for each of the pro synthesizer formats. Go to www.sonicimplants.com. for a demo, 'before making the choice of downloading individual 17 to 18Mb products or purchasing the entire collections on CD'. Assumptive close, anyone?
