Only a few thousand of these baby's were made in production year 1974. The Moog filter is killer, like all the Moog's are famous for. The synth is 37 keys of mono strangeness and analog bliss. Out of all the Moogs I have played ; this by far is the oddest. Capable of very weird modulations as well as some standard meat and potato sounds, the Satellite is built around a solid wood frame with flip switches on the front panel below the keys. There are sliders to the left of the keys. The keyboard is made up of 3 wavetables for its sounds:Brass, Strings, and Reed. Each of these wavetables have 4 to 5 parameters to work with. There is also, Bell and Lunar wavetables for out of this planet types. Comments About the Sounds: THE SOUNS ARE THE COOLEST THAT YOU WILL GET FROM ANY MONOSYNTH |
